Sunawachi set out to create a buckle so simple and refined that you might wonder why it never existed before.
Inspired by the way cowboys fasten their belts, this is a clean, one-piece buckle with a streamlined design.


Made from tin alloy with no plating, it was originally conceived with casual wear in mind. Yet the subtle balance of straight lines and curves gives it a presence that is neither too rigid nor too relaxed—distinct without being loud. It transitions easily into business settings as well.
The leather is “Takada Belt,” a cowhide developed specifically for belts by Tochigi Leather.
Vegetable-tanned and densely fibrous, it offers both strength and suppleness. Depending on the cut, natural wrinkles and markings may be visible. With use, the leather will develop a deep luster, becoming a piece you’ll grow attached to over time.


The leather is a substantial 4mm thick, and the belt measures a slightly wider yet highly versatile 35mm.
It may be “just a belt,” but what sits at the center of your body inevitably catches the eye in unexpected moments.
