A Japan Cap, Made to Be Worn Naturally
When you see Japan’s national flag—the Hinomaru—what comes to mind?
Its simplicity? A sense of celebration? A quiet dignity?


Around the world, people express affection for their countries in many ways. Americans wear the Stars and Stripes. Canadians proudly display the maple leaf. In many nations, the national flag appears on clothing, cars, and everyday items—not necessarily as a political statement, but often simply because people think it looks good or feel connected to it.
In that same spirit, we created this cap.


This is a Japan-inspired cap designed by Sunawachi—made to be worn naturally, as part of everyday life. 
Not as a souvenir piece, not only for sporting events, and not as something loud or aggressive. 
Just a well-designed, good-looking cap with a subtle sense of identity. Clean, balanced, and just a little playful.


Instead of spelling out “JAPAN” or “NIPPON,” we chose the simple and universal abbreviation JPN. The letter “P” incorporates a motif inspired by the Japanese flag in our original design.


The white 3D embroidery thread has a slightly gray tone and subtly reflects light, giving off a silver-like sheen in the sun.
The base cap comes from a U.S. brand and is manufactured in Myanmar or China. While producing everything domestically in Japan would be possible, it would raise the retail price significantly. 


We believe in making thoughtful choices—bringing together good elements from different places, without exclusivity or unnecessary barriers.
The embroidery itself is done in Japan by ShiiShu, an embroidery brand based in Higashi-Osaka.


The cap features a structured front panel and a slightly higher crown, offering a deeper fit that works well even for those with larger head sizes. It also looks great on women.
