Work for your living and play for your life.

The doctor's bag "SG001" was designed and produced for people who prefer a traditional style, but who are not just looking for a serious leather bag, but are looking for something that makes a statement and is unique, and who take pride in their work.

The origin of the "doctor's bag" is the mason bag used by masons to carry bricks and stones.

Because of its easy-to-use wide opening, it became popular among doctors who made many house calls.

It is also popular among lawyers who carry a lot of documents and materials, and is sometimes called a "lawyer's bag."

When U.S. Secretary of State John Foster Dulles visited Japan in 1951, his bag attracted attention, and the name "Dulles bag" became popular in Japan.

As such, this bag has many different names, but it refers to a sturdy bag with a clasp structure.

The doctor's bag "SG001" is a product jointly developed by leather specialist store Sunawachi and bag brand Garasha.

Doctor's bags are rare these days, but they all generally have the same serious look. Garasha's original bags are a unique blend of Eastern art and Western culture, and can almost be called works of art. To be honest, unless you're a freelancer or a rock star, they're hard to carry.

So we thought, "Why not create a doctor's bag that can be used by ordinary businessmen and professionals in their daily work, yet has a unique, fearless look?" and developed the design and size from scratch.

The leather used for the body is made from Australian rawhide and vegetable tanned in Himeji, Japan.

It is a firm leather that is infused with plenty of animal fats during the tanning process and finished to give it a natural shine.

The grain is not coated with urethane or anything like that, so when the owner picks up this bag, they are touching pure leather.

There is absolutely no artificial feel like plastic or vinyl.

On the other hand, the leather retains the animal's scratches and wrinkles. In addition, scratches and stains will inevitably appear as the bag is used.

However, this is the original leather, and it is these scratches and wear that make the product unique to the owner.

The body is made of 3mm thick leather with no interlining.

The lining is made of a light, durable shantung fabric (rayon) that allows for easy viewing of the contents.

The distinctive corner pieces are made of buffalo leather in the same color as the cowhide body, creating a casually wild atmosphere.

The handle is also hand-stitched with the same stitching used on genuine leather steering wheels in automobiles.

Only at the connection between the body and the handle, orange is effectively combined with brown, and red with black.

In terms of size, it can fit not only A4 but also a business envelope (with the lid closed). It can also fit a MacBook.

The inner gusset is 13cm. There are three pockets (large, medium and small) on one side of the inside.

The pockets are gusset-less so that the main air chamber can be used spaciously.

The weight is about 1450g, although there will be some individual differences due to the natural material. Naturally, it is heavier than a nylon bag, but for a doctor's bag that weighs less than 1500g, it can be said to be reasonably light.

It's a stately, traditional bag, but it's surprisingly easy to use.

Even when you want to take out your wallet, it opens 180 degrees while holding it in one hand, making it easy to do so.

There are absolutely no problems with suits, jackets and pants, or even kimonos. Both Sunawachi and Garasha are proud of the product, as it has been realized at a very high level in terms of design, quality of materials, dignity as a product, and ease of use.
